Debra Hentz

Treasurer, Vice President

After several years as Board Treasurer, it remains a privilege to manage the funds in this small non-profit organization that consistently makes value-based decisions, thinking first about what is best for the animals we are blessed to have under our care. As Vice President, taking on a dual role is an honor to help Silver Buckle take the next step in it’s elevated journey. Before retiring in 2025, my career was focused on organizing processes and teamwork training. My volunteer work at Silver Buckle allows me to apply those skills by helping to develop events for youth to build a sense of community, growing their confidence, driving them to become successful adults through hands-on experiences with horse care, interpersonal communication and rural-ranch life in our ever-growing urban environment. My peers tell me they most appreciate my wide-range of past work experience with problem solving, mentoring our staff, and grow the organization to expand our mission to a broader audience.
