Being a Board Member at Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center is just one of the community volunteer roles that I serve, which places me in the perfect position to provide networking opportunities for Silver Buckle’s strategic initiative around partner development. My Board tenure started with participation in a WSU Accounting Program project and developed most recently into the connection with Fosterful. Connecting these two organizations to support youth impacted by the foster care system through equine related activities is empowering to witness. After a 35-year career as a judicial branch executive in California where I proudly help provide all litigants access to justice, my family moved to Clark County where we love the scenery, river and coast. Serving on the board allows me to continue my passion for protecting and caring for the most vulnerable of our society. Providing education to the young ones gives them a foundation that carries through their lifetime. My peers tell me they most appreciate my positive outlook and approach to making business decisions ensuring that we face each challenge with an empathic heart as well as a judicial head.
