Having recently joined the Board of the Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center, I look forward to being able to use my experience advising on corporate governance matters and strategic business planning gleaned from almost 20 years as a practicing corporate and securities attorney towards helping advance the goals of a non-profit organization that supports giving youth the foundation to become great citizens of their communities through horsemanship. I began riding horses almost 40 years ago, and know first-hand the profound impact that caring for, exercising, and showing horses, and doing so outdoors, in real life and away from cell phone screens, with friends of all ages sharing the same passion, can have on building skills like resourcefulness, empathy, humility, grace, and confidence in one’s adult years. By serving on the Board of Silver Buckle, I hope to give back to a community that has given so much to me.
