As Board Secretary since 2019, I’ve had the honor to document activities, events and programs here at Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center. Additionally, I capture the achievements and decisions our dedicated Board of Directors make. My love of horses began in high school as a barrel racer competing in rodeos. That love continued after I joined the military and got to ride horses at a local ranch near where I was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco. I found Silver Buckle in 2014 when I brought my grandson to have his first horse experience. He moved onto other activities but I was hooked. Giving back to a place where youth are the focus and horses are treated with kindness and dignity warms my heart. I continue to be proud to serve a non-profit that brings so much joy to others and is so important in our ever-growing urban surroundings. My peers tell me they most appreciate the organizational skills that I bring from my military background combined with my “let’s make it happen” focused energy.
